Candidate forum to focus on health care

Kansas Health Care For All is sponsoring the forum “America’s Health Care Crisis” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s auditorium, 325 Maine.

Ira Stamm, a member of the advisory council for the Kansas Health Policy Authority, and Burdett Loomis, Kansas University professor in the department of political science, will talk about the presidential candidates’ proposals for change.

Also invited to speak are candidates U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, Former U.S. Rep. Jim Slattery, U.S. Rep. Nancy Boyda, state treasurer Lynn Jenkins, U.S. Rep. Dennis Moore and State Sen. Nick Jordan.

An interactive discussion with the audience and panelists will follow the presentations. For more information, go to khcfa.org.
