Wichita ? Neal Daniels scored three touchdown, but Veritas Academy absorbed a 39-20 football loss to Wichita Word of Life in high school football Friday night.

Daniels scored on a 26-yard pass from Nick Bennett and on runs of 81 and 14 yards.

“We’re disappointed,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “We think we’re a better team. But the scoreboard doesn’t lie.”

Veritas (3-2) will play at St. Mary’s Academy on Friday.
