DCAP needs help for annual art auction

The Douglas County AIDS Project seeks volunteers to help prepare for its upcoming art auction fundraiser. People are needed to help with office work, wrapping and photographing art, and transportation.

Immediate needs

¢ Pioneer Ridge Retirement Community is looking for volunteers to help residents pass out Halloween candy from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 31. Pioneer Ridge also needs assistance in providing manicures from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, and volunteers to bring in pets for visits or just to socialize. ¢ Project LIVELY is calling for assistance in its project to help the elderly. Tasks will include seasonal house upkeep in east Lawrence at the volunteer’s convenience. Contact Moira Ozias at 843-3060 or mozias@ldchealth.org to volunteer.

¢ Meals on Wheels needs five regular drivers and five substitute drivers to deliver warm meals throughout Lawrence. Contact Kim Culliss at 830-8844 to volunteer.
