Alvamar president renews certification

Dick Stuntz, president of Alvamar Inc., has completed the renewal process for maintaining his status as a certified golf course superintendent with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.

Stuntz has been Alvamar’s president since 2006 and is a 32-year member of GCSAA.He initially achieved his certification in 1983.

The GCSAA certification program requires demonstration of a higher set of competencies in golf course management through testing and practical application.

Certification is renewable every five years upon the candidate’s required participation in 150 hours of continuing education and professional development.
