3 killed in crash during police chase
Wichita ? A car that was being chased by the Kansas Highway Patrol crashed into another car, killing three people.
The patrol said a trooper began pursuing a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Jennifer Stilley at about 1 a.m. Saturday in Wichita. According to The Wichita Eagle, the trooper clocked Stilley going 83 mph in a 60-mph zone.
The trooper followed Stilley’s car for about three minutes before her car hit another vehicle. Stilley died at a hospital.
Two women in the car that was struck by Stilley’s vehicle died at the scene. They were identified as 43-year-old Mia Alberson and 44-year-old Peggy King.
Lt. David Hundley of the KHP said it appeared the trooper was following patrol policy during the chase.
