Watkins Community Museum of History, 1047 Mass., has multiple volunteer positions to be filled, including front door greeters and museum guides to work from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The museum is also in search of a research aide. Applicants should be at least a senior in high school and have an interest in history, photography or genealogy.

Immediate needs

The Salvation Army needs holiday bell ringers to work between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. from Nov. 7 to Dec. 24, with a minimum of two-hour shifts.

The Salvation Army is also organizing a “Share the Warmth” coat drive. Donations can be made at any Scotch Cleaners through Nov. 24. Volunteers are also needed to sort the coats Dec. 1 to 4 and distribute them Dec. 5 and 6. For more information, call Aaron Smith at 843-4188, ext. 102.
