Renton, Wash. ? Pro Bowl defensive end Patrick Kerney is out indefinitely and getting a second look at what’s wrong with his surgically repaired shoulder.

Coach Mike Holmgren said Kerney would return to Alabama to see Dr. James Andrews, who repaired torn labrum cartilage in Kerney’s left shoulder after last season.
