The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will conduct sound muffling inspections from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the boat ramp next to Perry Marina, on the east side of the dam at Perry Lake.

The boat inspections also will be conducted from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Rock Creek Marina, on the west side of Perry Lake off Kansas Highway 237, which also is known as West Lake Road.

The inspections are free. Boats not complying with the new noise restriction of 91 decibels will not be cited.
