Kansas wins Silver Shovel
Kansas is being recognized for the third consecutive year by Area Development magazine for excellence in job creation and capital investment.
The state is a winner in the magazine’s annual Golden Shovel Awards, given to states that have scored well through a combination of job creation, new jobs per capita, total investment, amount of new construction, and number of employers creating high value-added jobs.
Kansas won a Silver Shovel as the top performer among states with a populations of 3 million or less.
The 2007 awards will be included in the June edition of Area Development, an executive magazine covering corporate site selection and relocation.
