The Pulse summer activities calendar for children and teens is coming soon – perhaps in a year where they’ll be spending more time at home, if gasoline prices and other factors have led to scaled-back vacation plans. Local organizations are welcome to submit their kid-friendly events, from concerts to storytimes, outdoor activities and more for the upcoming calendar, which will cover June 5 until mid-August. Send entries to Christy Little, assistant features/special sections editor, at clittle@ljworld.com or to the News Center, 645 N.H., Lawrence 66044. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. May 28. Camps and workshops will not be accepted because of space constraints.
