KDOT closing I-70 ramps in Topeka

The Kansas Department of Transportation will close the entrance and exit ramps from eastbound Interstate 70 in Topeka from today to Monday. The exit will affect Adams Street/Branner Trafficway in east Topeka and is being closed for repairs.

No marked detours will be provided, according to the department.

The repairs are the second phase of a pavement repair project that began mid-May 2008 on both east and westbound lanes of I-70 from west of the Adams Street/Branner Trafficway interchange to east of the Carnahan Street interchange on the east side of Topeka in Shawnee County. Work will also take place on adjoining ramp interchanges at Adams Street/Branner Trafficway, California Street and Carnahan Street.

The ramps will reopen to traffic at 6 a.m. Monday.
