From the Lawrence Daily World for May 14, 1908: “Efforts of local ministers to assist in setting up a Law and Order League moved along last night as three ministers were named to help organize the project. : The last of the student journalist cases is ended with the result that eight local jointists will serve time in jail cells and pay fines. The students launched the project in conjunction with The World.”
