Premier Martial Arts, Lawrence, will offer instruction for kids in how to defend themselves during a free event following the nationally recognized Kid Safe Program.

The event, designed for kids ages 6 to 12, is set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Premier Martial Arts, 3201 Clinton Parkway Court.

The center’s instructors will show children how to protect themselves against abduction and exploitation.

The program also provides parents the tools they need to create a Kid-Safe Identification Record for their children. The kit includes a physical description log including personal information, fingerprints, DNA kit, reusable emergency medical release card and emergency contact information.
