Free State’s Seth McCauley and Lawrence High’s Jon Cohen both qualified for state as individuals Monday at the Class 6A regional golf tournament at Eagle Bend.

McCauley, a junior, and Cohen, a sophomore, each turned in scores of 83 to earn two of the five individual qualifying spots reserved for golfers not on the top three teams.

Olathe South, Olathe East and Olathe Northwest finished 1-2-3, earning the right to go to state as a full team.

LHS finished fourth, just five strokes behind Olathe Northwest. Free State finished sixth.

The state meet will take place Monday, May 19 at Shadow Glen Golf Course in Olathe.
