County improvement project touts health
The Douglas County Community Health Improvement Project is co-sponsoring events as part of national Cover the Uninsured Week, which ends Saturday.
Members of Kansas Health Care For All will distribute information about covering the uninsured from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Farmers’ Market, 824 N.H.
Forty-seven million Americans are uninsured, and nearly 300,000 of them are Kansans.
