Jim Slattery, Topeka Democrat, made his first visit to Lawrence since being sworn in as the city’s congressman. He said he had yet to settle on his preferred solution to natural gas pricing problems. Slattery said he would remain neutral until he had studied the issues and could take an “educated approach” to the issue.
