Royals rally for victory

? Jorge De La Rosa failed to take advantage of an opportunity to win a spot in Kansas City’s rotation as he gave up four runs in four innings, but the Royals rallied for a 10-9 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

De La Rosa, a 26-year-old left-hander, made 23 starts last season, but is in stiff competition in spring training for the final two slots.

De La Rosa faced 22 batters and nine reached base, allowing seven hits, including two home runs, and two walks.

De La Rosa, who has an 8.03 earned-run average in four outings, struck out five.
