Wellness festival to offer free screenings

The sixth annual Community Wellness Festival, a free Baldwin City community health fair, is set for 9 a.m. to noon April 5 at the Collins Center, Sixth and Fremont streets.

More than 50 exhibitors are expected to participate. There will be free screenings for blood pressure, posture check, body fat, bone density, hearing, lung volume and vision.

Lawrence Memorial Hospital will provide a total lipid profile with a prostate-specific antigen test. Registration is required for the screenings. Preregister by March 26 and lab tests are available for $30 or $40 with a PSA test. Sign up the day of the festival and the lab tests will be $40 or $50 with a PSA test. Registration forms are available at Baker University’s Harter Union and various Baldwin City businesses.

There will be prize drawings. The first 200 attendees will receive a free T-shirt. All children will receive a free bicycle helmet.
