¢ A volunteer is needed for assistance with carpentry and electrical work. For more information, contact Roger Hill Volunteer Center at 865-5030.

¢ Lawrence Arts Center needs five to six volunteers for general assistance during the Lawrence Arts Auction from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. April 12. Auction assistants will help with auction duties, refreshment tables, bartending and clean-up after the event. Contact Rick Mitchell at 843-2787 for more information.

¢ Kaw Valley Soccer Association needs volunteers for a tournament March 28-30. Volunteers are responsible for making sure the right teams have arrived on time, referees have reported and volunteer coordinators are kept informed. Contact Charlotte Marthaler at 843-3060 or 838-3436.

¢ The Douglas County AIDS Project will be hosting the AIDS Walk 2008 on April 12. The walk route goes through Downtown Lawrence and will conclude with a free brunch and awards ceremony at Maceli’s, 1031 N.H. Volunteers are needed for assistance and to take part in the walk.
