Riders can share KU, city buses
City commissioners on Tuesday unanimously agreed to a plan that will make it easier for area residents to ride either city or Kansas University-operated transit bus.
Commissioners praised a proposal that would allow KU students to ride the T for free if they show a KU ID. City residents who have purchased a T bus pass also would be able to ride the university buses for no fare.
The new system would begin Aug. 18 when KU’s fall semester begins.
