High school student dies in SUV crash

? An SUV crashed near Eureka, killing one high school student and critically injuring four other passengers.

Greenwood County Sheriff Mark Kenneson says the accident happened Friday night on a gravel road five miles south of Eureka when a Toyota 4Runner left the road and overturned three times. All five occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

A 15-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two 16-year-old girls and two boys, ages 15 and 16, were flown by air ambulances to Wichita hospitals.

Kenneson says that before the crash, the students were at Eureka High School attending a walk for cancer fundraiser.

The victims’ names were not released.
