Impersonator to revisit Truman presidency

A Harry Truman impersonator will appear at the Dole Institute of Politics on July 16 to discuss Truman’s presidential decisions and experiences. The event begins at 7:30 p.m.

Truman is played by Niel Johnson, a retired archivist and historian at the Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Independence, Mo. He will take questions about any facet of Truman’s life. Johnson will sign copies of his book “Power, Money and Women: Words to the Wise From Harry S. Truman” after the question-and-answer session.
