Kansas native qualifies for U.S. Women’s Open

? Former University of Tulsa golfer Tara Goedeken has qualified to play in the U.S. Women’s Open later this month.

The 22-year-old Kansas native will be playing in her first professional tournament after making it through qualifying at Eastern Hills Country Club in Garland, Texas, on Monday.

Goedeken is a Dodge City native, who transferred to Tulsa from Wichita State in 2006. She carded rounds of 75 and 74 and was one of four players to qualify in the Texas event.

The U.S. Women’s Open begins June 26 in Edina, Minn.
