Cottonwood receives gold medal award

The Defense Supply Center, Richmond, Va., recently honored Cottonwood Industries as one of the government’s best suppliers at an Automated Best Value System award ceremony.

JR Condra, director of Cottonwood Industries, a division of Cottonwood, Inc., accepted the gold medal award from U.S. Air Force Vice Director, Defense Logistics Agency, Maj. Gen. Arthur B. Morrill III and DSCR Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Andrew E. Bush.

The award is given for achieving a perfect score in quality and delivery requirements.

Cottonwood has supplied the Department of Defense with more than 4 million cargo tie-down straps since its initial contract began in 1999.
