If we’ve learned anything from “Project Runway” (8 p.m., Bravo), it’s that it’s not easy being creative against the clock. How many gowns have been ruined by the rush to finish? So why is a whole new season of “Runway” – its fifth – being crammed in when we’ve barely had time to digest the fourth? As you may recall, Christian Soriano was crowned the winner just this past March 5.

It all comes down to business. The company that owns “Runway” made a deal to move it to Lifetime, much to the consternation of Bravo, the network that built a new identity around the series. Remember when Bravo was best known for “Inside the Actors Studio”?

“Runway” was obliged to produce one more season for Bravo, so, ready or not, here comes Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, along with 16 worthies. And not long after this wraps up, we’ll be asked to walk down the “Runway” again. The series debuts its sixth season, and the first on Lifetime, in November. Three seasons of “Runway” on two networks in one calendar year may add up to overexposure. Not that Bravo minds.

¢ “Run’s House” (9 p.m., MTV) enters its fifth season. “House” follows Rev. Run, The Run DMC rapper-turned-minister. Much like “The Osbournes,” this celebrity reality show puts the accent on family and humorous misunderstandings between generations. And, like most reality series, the domestic shenanigans take place against a background of conspicuous consumption and ostentatious wealth.

¢ In yet another celebrity series, “Family Foreman” (9 p.m., TV Land) follow former boxer and heavyweight champ George Foreman as he interacts with his extended brood. Even if you don’t follow boxing, you probably know Foreman from his many commercials and appearances for the ubiquitous indoor grill that bears his name. The leap from infomercial to reality show is both natural and predictable. Like far too many TV Land reality offerings, this has the feeling of being done many times before.

¢ Now here’s a family reality series with a twist. “Mother May I” (8 p.m., and 9:30 p.m., Discovery Health) follows young adults with serious issues (unemployment, obesity, stress, etc.). They agree to take advice from a “life coach” under the condition that they get all of their suggestions and affirmations by text messages and don’t meet their mentor until their makeover concludes. At the end of every show, the subject discovers that their secret guru was really their mother!

¢ “Costas NOW” (8 p.m., HBO) will present a special live edition, a 90-minute glance at the Major League Baseball season as players return to the field after the All-Star Game break.

¢ “Animal Cops” (9 p.m., Animal Planet) moves to the City of Brotherly Love. “Animal Cops: Philadelphia” follows the efforts of the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty, which rescues more than 10,000 animals every year.
