Nominations sought for Leadership Kansas

Leadership Kansas – a social, business and political development program of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce – is accepting nominations for its 2008 class.

The deadline is Feb. 1.

The program offers firsthand exposure to the critical issues facing Kansas business and government, and works to inspire participants to maintain involvement in their communities.

Each year nearly 500 people are nominated to apply, and 40 individuals are chosen to participate. Program officials consider geographic, racial, occupational and gender diversity among applicants so that each class is representative of the state.

Selections are based on applicants’ leadership contributions in their professions and communities, along with their willingness to contribute to future progress within the state.
