Law enforcement report

¢ A 33-year-old Kansas City, Mo., man was transported Monday to Research Medical Center after an accident involving two semitrailers on I-70. Juan Milligan was driving a semitrailer eastbound about 7:30 p.m. when his vehicle rear-ended a semitrailer driven by Phillip Degenstein of Bow Island, Alberta, Canada. Milligan was transported to the hospital. The accident occurred less than a half-mile west of the eastern terminal toll plaza. Milligan was treated and released from the hospital.

¢ A 15-year-old Tonganoxie High student who posted threatening comments on his Facebook page and threatened another student was taken into custody Friday, according to the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the school Friday in reference to the Facebook page. The suspect posted on the site that he hated school and he was going to shoot it up and kill more than 13 people, according to an incident report. The suspect told deputies the posting was a joke and he would delete the comments, the report said. Deputies again responded to the school Friday after the suspect told a 15-year-old student that she would be the first one he’d kill, the report said. The suspect was booked Friday into the Juvenile Detention Facility.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 63-year-old Lawrence man on Friday reported $6,250 in criminal damage and theft of jewelry, electronic equipment and other items. The incident occurred between 8 a.m. Jan. 3 and 3:45 p.m. Friday in the 500 block of North Street.

¢ A 47-year-old Lawrence man on Saturday reported the theft of a black Nissan Maxima valued at $5,000 from the 1400 block of Apple Lane. The incident occurred between 10 p.m. Friday and 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

¢ An unknown person stole $900 in audio equipment and did about $750 in damage to a vehicle early Sunday morning, a 19-year-old Lawrence man reported to police. The incident occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. in the 2600 block of Crestline Drive.
