Hidden from your memory

Protected from your sight

Unwanted blurred imagery

Buried in the blight

Failure of understanding

Not knowing what to do

Honesty is painful

Erasing love for two

For truth, should I discover

Offer answers sublime

Remiss of comprehension

Contentment cannot find

Seeking, always seeking

A respite from this pain

Love is in the keeping

Tender is the game

Oh find me true heart

Ne’er more shall I seek

Another who’ll desert me

To stain my gentle cheek.
