The city of Lawrence is continuing its “tree-cycling” program for two more weeks. Residents can recycle their Christmas trees by placing them by a curb, next to a Dumpster or in an alley by 6 a.m. Monday and Jan. 14.

Ornaments, lights and tinsel must be removed before pick-up, and trees should be taken from their stands, as well. The recycled trees will be used to enhance local wildlife habitats.
