A man arrested last week in Kentucky for allegedly shooting three people outside a Lawrence nightclub is scheduled for an extradition hearing on Monday.

Carlos Jackson, 26, Topeka, has been in the Christian County Jail in Hopkinsville, Ky., since his arrest Friday at the home of relatives.

Jackson has been accused in a felony arrest warrant with three counts of aggravated battery in the shootings of two Last Call employees and a 15-year-old patron of the private club at 729 N.H.

If Jackson should waive extradition, he can be brought back to Douglas County right away, District Attorney Charles Branson said. If he fights the extradition, the county will start a governor’s extradition process, and papers will be sent by the governor to Kentucky. That process could take 30 to 90 days, Branson said.

Two women were arrested and charged last week with aiding Jackson after the shooting. Sherise Spears, 20, remains in the Douglas County Jail on $30,000 bond. Sonda Washington, 30, has been released on $15,000 bond. Preliminary court hearings for them are pending.
