What they did: This trio of juniors led the Lawrence High wrestling team to second place at last weekend’s Class 6A regional tournament in Leavenworth.

All three finished with regional titles, with Pfannenstiel winning the 130-pound crown, Greenfield winning it all at 135 pounds and Cain finishing first in the 160-pound bracket.

What he did: During the Firebirds’ 57-39, home victory over Shawnee Mission West last Friday, Wiebe scored more than half of his team’s points on his way to the highest-scoring night by a city athlete this winter.

The senior forward hit 11 shots from the field, including two three-pointers, and was 6-of-9 from the free-throw line to finish the night with 30 points while leading Free State to its 12th victory of the season.
