Area Roundup: McLouth sweeps a pair

? Three McLouth High boys basketball players reached double figures and another added nine points for the Bulldogs, who used a 39-point second half to knock off Doniphan West, 52-45, on Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs trailed 27-24 at halftime but scored 16 in the third quarter and 23 in the fourth.

McLouth 42, Doniphan West 27

McLouth – After a slow start, the McLouth girls basketball team unloaded for 17 points in the second quarter en route to a 15-point victory over Doniphan West.

McLouth improved to 10-6.

Basehor-Linwood 45, Santa Fe Trail 28

Carbondale – Kelsi Wiscombe and Shara Luther led Santa Fe Trail with seven points apiece.

Santa Fe Trail (6-12) will play host to Kansas City Piper on Friday.

Oskaloosa 48, Kansas City Christian 40

Prairie Village – Hailey Kelly led all scorers with 23 points, and Oskaloosa scored 18 points in the third quarter to knock off Kansas City Christian.

Nicole Rockhold and Emily Heston chipped in with nine and eight points, respectively, for the Bears.
