Start the holiday with Disney parade

A holiday-morning tradition turns 25 today. Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest share the hosting duties on the “Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade” (9 a.m., ABC), broadcast (in high definition) from both the Florida and California branches of the theme-park kingdom. Scheduled performers include Miley Cyrus and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, the Jonas brothers and the Imagination Movers.

• The Disney parade isn’t the only event to get an early start. Skeptics and fans of breaking things down and blowing them up can enjoy an 18-hour marathon of “Mythbusters” (8 a.m. through 2 a.m., Discovery) episodes.

• Fans of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” (7 a.m. to 5 a.m. Friday) can spend a whole day and night with the series, starring Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton, Colm Meaney and Whoopie Goldberg, among others, that ran from 1987 to 1994.

• TV Land offers a Merry-Thon of Christmas-themed episodes of sitcoms from past decades, beginning with “The Andy Griffith Show” (6 a.m.) and ending with “The Cosby Show” (7:30 p.m.).

• National Geographic offers viewers and fishing fans 12 opportunities to get “Hooked” (1 p.m. through 2 a.m., National Geographic).

• ESPN and ABC collaborate on a basketball triple-header featuring games between New Orleans and Orlando (11 a.m., ESPN), Phoenix and San Antonio (1:30 p.m., ABC) and Boston and the L.A. Lakers (4 p.m., ABC).

• Turner Classic Movies observes two birthdays today, airing Christmas movies with both secular and sacred themes during the day and then celebrating Humphrey Bogart’s (b. Dec. 25, 1899) birthday in the evening.

Highlights include “Three Godfathers” (7 a.m., TCM), a Western variation on the story of the three Wise Men. Charlton Heston stars in the 1959 version of “Ben Hur” (3 p.m.). The Bogart marathon includes “Casablanca” (7 p.m.), “The Big Sleep” (9 p.m.), “The Maltese Falcon” (11 p.m.), “The African Queen” (1 a.m.) and “High Sierra” (3 a.m.).
