Donated turkeys and hams are needed for this year’s annual Lawrence Community Christmas Dinner to be held Dec. 25 at the First United Methodist Church, 946 Vt.

The dinner committee is asking for donations of at least 50 20-pound turkeys and 40 5-pound hams. To donate call Deb Engstrom at 393-5761.

Pie donations also will be accepted. You can take a pie to the church Christmas morning, said Brower Burchill, one of the organizers of the meal. The dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers to help with the meal and deliver meals to the homebound also are being accepted. To volunteer, call 865-0920. If you want to have a meal delivered to you at home, call the church after 6 a.m. Christmas Day, 841-1516.
