Kansas Board of Regents president and chief executive officer Reginald Robinson has had informal discussions with staff that budget cuts in the 15 percent to 20 percent range may be necessary if the state’s fiscal problems continue to worsen. A story Monday incorrectly reported he had asked universities to prepare for such cuts.

•Sunday’s Holiday Happenings & Gift Catalog listed the Boston Brass & The Brass All-Stars Big Band: A Stan Kenton Christmas performance on the wrong date. The event will be 7:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Lied Center on Kansas University’s West Campus.

•In a Nov. 29 story about the Broadway economy, The Associated Press erroneously attributed a quote about the use of stars in Broadway plays. It was producer Bill Haber, not producer Bob Boyett, who said, “I don’t think anyone would do a straight play in this environment without stars. It’s got to be about the cast. That’s what you are pushing.”

The attribution also included an incorrect reference to Boyett’s producing credits. He is a producer of “Monty Python’s Spamalot” but not of the upcoming “Impressionism.”
