Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police arrested a 20-year-old rural Lawrence man Saturday morning in connection with a Wednesday morning burglary when at least three guns were taken from a Lawrence home.

According to a police report, a Lawrence man in the 1500 block of Barker Avenue reported to police this week that more than $5,000 worth of property went missing, including a Remington shotgun worth $2,500, a $300 Bauer pistol and a $400 Browning rifle. Other items including electronics were taken.

The suspect was booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of burglary and theft. He remained in jail on $20,000 bond.

Injury Accident

¢ Three people suffered nonlife-threatening injuries after a 2:45 a.m. accident near 12th and Tennessee streets.

An emergency dispatcher said Saturday that one ambulance went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital from the scene, but information was unavailable about how many people were taken there.

Police and medics had told dispatchers the injuries of the three people were believed to be minor. Further information about the wreck was unavailable Saturday from Lawrence police.
