The Downtown Lawrence Farmers’ Market is launching a new volunteer program.

An informational meeting will be 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the gallery of the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.

Mercedes Taylor-Puckett, market coordinator, said a number of volunteer opportunities exist in photography, graphics, special event planning and staffing the information booth.

“Whether you have an hour or two free several Saturday mornings a month or require a more flexible schedule, we can find a way to put your talents to work,” she said in a news release.
