JEFFERSON CITY, MO. ? One touchdown in three games tells the tale of Haskell Indian Nations University’s football season so far.

The Fightin’ Indians (0-3) will be hoping for offensive improvement when they meet Lincoln University (1-3) at 2 p.m. today in the Missouri state capital.

After scoring only three points in its first two games, HINU finally counted a touchdown in its 42-7 loss at Redlands two weeks ago on a pass from quarterback Kaleb Harris to wide receiver Brigham Bert.

Harris, who played wide receiver in the Tribe’s first two games, replaced Victor Ramos, who had thrown seven interceptions in losses to Missouri Southern (51-0) and South Dakota Tech (17-3).

Harris, a junior, started several games at QB for the Indians during the 2005 season. He sat out last year.

Haskell’s next two games will also be on the road – a week from today at Bacone and Oct. 13 at McPherson.
