The Spencer Museum of Art’s “Classroom Collection” reception will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at CornerBank, 4621 W. Sixth St.

Composed of works donated by various Kansas artists, the collection is available to loan to teachers for use in their classrooms. Each work comes with its own customized carrying case and an educational notebook to use in teaching about the artist, the type of work and the medium used.

The collection includes both local and internationally known artists, such as Roger Shimomura, Terry Evans, Joseph Judd Pennell, Vernon Brejcha and Elizabeth Layton.

The collection may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday until Oct. 31.
