Authors with Lawrence ties join book festival
Wichita ? The Kansas Book Festival organizers have announced the authors who will appear at the event, which is Oct. 5-6 in Wichita.
Those with ties to Lawrence:
¢ Antonya Nelson, a Wichita native and Kansas University graduate, author of “Some Fun”
¢ Harriet Lerner, of Lawrence, author of “The Dance of Anger”
¢ Denise Low, of Lawrence, 2007 Kansas Poet Laureate and Notable Book author
¢ Laura Moriarty, of Lawrence, author of “The Rest of Her Life”
¢ Cynthia Leitich Smith, KU graduate and author of “Tantalize.”
National headliners include Michael Korda, editor emeritus of Simon & Schuster, and journalists Cal Thomas and Bob Beckel, authors of “Common Ground: How to Stop the Partisan War That Is Destroying America.”
