Dale Willey Automotive, 2840 Iowa, will have a free child safety seat inspection on Saturday. Inspections will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m.

Certified technicians will be available to properly install safety seats and educate people on the importance of using the proper child restraints and booster seats.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, more than 40,000 child passengers under age 4 are injured or killed in car crashes annually and approximately 40 percent of children under the age of 8 who die or suffer serious injuries in car crashes are not wearing seat belts.

The month of September is recognized by the National Automobile Dealers Association as Child Passenger Safety Month.
