Green festival slated for this weekend

? Actions of Awareness will present Green Bliss Fest this weekend at Camp Gaea, a 160-acre retreat center in McLouth.

The festival is designed to promote social change. It will be three days of camping, workshops, speakers, independent films, music and nutrition to promote education in personal, spiritual and environmental health.

Festival events are scheduled from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. today, 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the retreat center, 25110 235th St. in McLouth, about 28 miles northeast of Lawrence.

Tickets will be available at the door. Day tickets for students are $45 or $90 for the weekend and non-student tickets are $60 for the day or $120 for the weekend. Presale tickets will be available online at www.wahzee.com and Sacred Sword, 732 Mass.

Ticket prices include two organic, vegan meals per day or five meals for the weekend, snacks, camping and parking.
