Man hospitalized after fire escape fall
A 21-year-old Lyons man was hospitalized early Monday after he fell 15 feet from a fire escape, according to Lawrence Police.
At 1:45 a.m., police and medical crews found the man unconscious on the pavement behind Henry’s Coffee Shop, 11 E. Eighth St. He was taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.
No foul play was suspected, police said. Officers interviewed several people about the incident.
The victim’s name was not released and his condition was not known.
