Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police responded to a disturbance call at 10:25 p.m. Tuesday in the 4600 block of West Sixth Street. A 19-year-old Lawrence woman reported she was with her roommate, an 18-year-old man, when he suddenly became physically aggressive and cut her with a sharp object. The woman reported the man also cut off a portion of her hair before she could lock herself inside a room in the residence. The victim reported she stayed in the room until the man fell unconscious, then she ran to a neighbor’s residence. When police arrived the man was unconscious, according to the report. Both the suspect and victim were transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The victim was treated for lacerations and released. As of Wednesday morning, the suspect was still undergoing treatment and evaluation. Police reported recovering a razor from the residence.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 27-year-old Lawrence man reported a theft of several items to Lawrence police on Tuesday. Items include clothing, a 52″ Polaroid Plasma TV, Dell laptop computer and a collection of dolphins. The total estimated loss is $2,980. The crime occurred between 5 p.m. Oct. 19 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of West 26th Street.

¢ A 47-year-old Lawrence woman reported a rear van window was damaged on Oct. 30 in the 900 block of Iowa Street. The estimated damage is $1,000.

¢ A 56-year-old Lawrence woman reported the theft of a 1991 Mercury Cougar and a Kansas tag worth $1,500 and a Nokia cell phone worth $100. According to a Lawrence Police report the theft occurred between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9:11 a.m. Monday in the 1000 block of West 22nd Terrace.
