Overland Park ? For the third consecutive year, Kansas University junior Annie Giangrosso has qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship.

The Overland Park native fired a 71 on Wednesday at Overland Park Golf Course to win the qualifying invitation. Giangrosso will now travel to Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., to compete in the Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship.

Last year, Giangrosso fired a two-round 153 to finish tied for 49th. In match play, Giangrosso was defeated, 3 and 1, by Maria Jose Uribe of Colombia.
