Hair Experts staffers learn, train in L.A.
Hair Experts Salon & Spa in Lawrence sent two representatives to the Redken Artist Convention, conducted April 29 and 30 in Los Angeles, plus a separate training program May 1.
At the convention, Hair Experts owner Brenda Peterson-Smith and designer Courtney Quirarte learned about color and new products being offered by Redken.
During the May 1 training, Peterson-Smith and Quirarte received instruction through the Couture for Cancer program, a nonprofit organization that provides artificial hair systems for people with cancer. Peterson-Smith and Quirarte now are certified to take measurements and conduct fittings for the systems.
