Baker announces Voices of Spring concert

? Baker University’s music department will present the Voices of Spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Baldwin First United Methodist Church. Admission is free.

The concert will feature Baker’s Concert Choir, University Singers and Chamber Singers.

Concert Choir selections will include “Missa brevis St. Joannis de Deo,” by Joseph Haydn; “Children’s Letters to God,” by C.M. Shearer; “Prayer to Jesus,” by George Oldroyd.

The University Singers’ work will include “Chi la galiarda,” by Donato; “White Feathers,” by Imant Raminsh; “Heart We Will Forget Him,” by James Mulholland, featuring Baker student Michael Stickelman, French horn; “Beautiful Yet Truthful,” by Lloyd Pfautsch; and “J’entends le Moulin,” arranged by Donald Patriquin.

The Chamber Singers will present “Revecy venir du Printans,” by Claude Le Jeune; “The Goslings,” by Bridge; and “Ja-Da,” arranged by Robert DeCormier.

All three ensembles are under the direction of John Buehler and accompanied by Susan Buehler.
