Lawrence Art Guild is pleased to announce the selection of Kansas City artist Jill Tichenor as the winner of the poster design for Art in the Park 2007. Tichenor’s watercolor, “Spring in the Park,” which features the South Park bandstand, was unanimously chosen for the honor.

Working in a number of media, with a focus on pastels and acrylics, Tichenor describes her work as “contemporary abstract” in spirit, but with recognizable images. viewing other artists’ work.

A Kansas University graduate in theater and film design, Tichenor is a member of the art guild and the Kansas City Artist Coalition.

Art in the Park will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 6 at South Park, 1200 Mass.
