Project Graduation 2007, a communitywide post-graduation party, is being planned for members of the Class of 2007 who are graduating from all high schools in Lawrence.

The objective of the party is to provide a fun, safe, drug/alcohol-free environment where the graduates can eat, dance, play games, win prizes and celebrate graduation.

Project Graduation 2007 will be from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. May 27 at Abe & Jake’s Landing, 8 E. Sixth St. The theme this year is “The Future Looks Bright!”

A drawing for a one-night stay at the Eldridge Hotel was held for those who made early donations for Project Graduation 2007. The winners were John and Melissa Watkins, who won from a pool of individuals and businesses making donations by Dec. 16.
