The Douglas County Estate Planning Council’s next meeting is set for noon to 1:30 p.m. March 20 at the Lawrence Country Club, 400 Country Club Terrace.

The guest speaker will be Bob Tomlinson, assistant commissioner of the Kansas Department of Insurance. His presentation will give a glimpse of the department’s regulation of the state’s $11 billion insurance business.

His topics are expected to include consumer protection, insurance fraud, long-term care insurance, health care insurance, and health savings accounts.
